Arrived have the days of taunting, smacking, torturing and shouting at a bunch of loopy rabbits. Gone is the age of guiding Rayman through a series of over the top French escapades. Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is all about mini games.

In Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 on the Nintendo DS our favourite limbless man becomes more of a movie extra as the Rabbids take centre stage in a delightful, yet childish experience. Rayman had found a new home with Nintendo, if only due to his drastic make over. While always penned as a Wii and Nintendo DS title, the game did see the console of red lights and the two hundred dollar brick, but it did not quite strike a chord with those gamers. After having experienced a wonderful success at the Wii’s launch with Rayman Raving Rabbids, Ubisoft quickly got to work on a second installment of the new series. The shooting games are on-rail, with rabbids rendered in real-time over full motion video of cities and famous locations around the world.Rayman has gone from a quirky platforming mascot to in-the-background, mini-game promoting mascot in such a short time, it’s hard to imagine where the time went. Customizing characters are just visual and have no in-game effect. Visit the plaza to customize your characters, use the jukebox, watch the credits and launch the shooting games. The more trips you play, the more minigames you unlock. Replay all the minigames you've unlocked. Tropics - unlocked after playing the first four trips.By setting high scores and completing trips you unlock costumes and shooting games. Whichever difficulty you choose, there is no way of failing any of the games, the only goal is to set a high score. There is a difficulty setting between easy and normal for the normal games, and a choice of instrument, along with a difficulty rating of one to three stars, for the music games. Each trip has eight different minigames plus a music game. The main mode consists of five different trips around the world.

There are a total of 45 minigames in the game, plus five on-rail shooting levels. The difference between this incarnation of the crazy bunnies and the previous one is that all the minigames can be played with 4 players simultaneously whereas in the previous game, Rayman: Raving Rabbids, you had to take turns. Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is what those of you who played the first one would expect, plenty of crazy, highly competitive minigames.
